Sugarloaf State Park with Waterfall

Sugarloaf State Park in Sonoma County, CA, has a wonderfully full seasonal waterfall anytime after it rains! It is a smaller trickle now during the off season.

There is also a seasonal stream, and 20+ camping spots with both shady and sunny spots. Bathrooms complete with showers.

Hiking trails rage from shaded in the redwoods with steps and wet ground, to dry grasses and full-sun dry paths.

They are active on Facebook and always have critter camera footage! Super fun for the kids to see the videos.

They have a rangers station that seels camping gear, books, and odds and ends. A few kids games and things, and free hot chocolate for kids. Ice cream for sale!

We love this park. Note, it also connects via the trails to the neighboring park of Hood Mountain. Many people also ride horses on the trails.
