Dodge ram 2500 2003 with a 5.9 cummins diesel

I lost fuel to the engine a few weeks ago while driving home, The lift pump was making a noise I've never heard it make before. Leading to me to believe it's the pump so I bought it and replaced it.

it seems to not have changed anything. It still won't crank. I have recently replaced the Apps sensor, alternator, and batteries so I'm not sure if that would have any effect on the fuel system.

I'd appreciate any ideas or advice
