How should one prepare for the GDPI processes for SIPs before joining a b-school? What all should i read up on/improve? What's the process like, can existing MBA students please help me out?

Will be joining a b-school in June, and want to know where to find credible live projects to complete, for CV boosters, etc? Do these live projects genuinly help regarding placements and SIP's? Some advice would be useful, please help me out!
