How does Deepseek V4 compare to older models such as V3 0324?
I stopped using AI chatbots a while ago when all the free proxies started going down and recently got back into it, now I'm considering putting money into it since free providers are getting rarer.
I used to RP constantly with DS V3 0324 and recently got to use it again and it's still as good as I remember.
So my question is: has it become obsolete with the arrival of V4 (flash and pro) or is it still an excellent choice?
Logic would have it that V4 is better since it came after but I tried V3.2, which is supposedly an upgrade to 0324, and it's actually worse. So now the answer isn't obvious.
I'm also perplexed by the fact that 0324 is more expensive on OpenRouter than V4 Flash, is it because it's just that popular and good? I'd like to hear from people who have tried both before I put money into it.
Additional question: Do Openrouter and Deepseek API accept payments from Europe? Because the one proxy where I tried paying rejected my credit card so now I'm not sure.
