Cleats for catchers

Bought my son new Nike cleats for this season and they have not held up well. I need to get him a new pair but want to know if there are any out there that will stand up to the abuse of a catcher. Mostly play on turf but occasionally we get dirt. TIA

Strike rate %

What’s your guys opinion on strike rate % needed to compete in 11u travel ball tournaments? Particularly AAA and major . After 5 tournaments so far this year it seems to me 50-55% won’t cut it anymore in AAA . In my opinion to be affective you need at minimum to be throwing 6-10 strikes atleast 65% would be even better . Also if you’re going deep into tournaments your pitchers better know how to throw something off speed to keep batters of balance.

As the boys move to 12 and 13u does this change even more ?

This fall when my sons coach announced after going 30-19 in AA last year he wanted to move up to AAA I was a little skeptical/worried .

We are now 11games in and 6-5 we have been dominated a couple times and we have beat a couple teams easy but man the baseball is just so much more fun to be a part of and watch . Holding runners, catchers now block most balls catchers throwing runners out every once in a while . Lots of fly balls to the outfield that kids chase down . We even turned a couple double plays .

Is it a big jump to majors ? I have noticed teams including us don’t have much success if pitchers can’t get close to 60% strike rate .

We have low pressure septic system. Last night we had lots of storms come through . It rained all night into the morning . At around noon today I noticed my alarm was going off so I went down an silenced it red light on top of box stayed on but I didn’t think much of it and figured one of the floats was probably still active and it would pump down by tonight . Well fast forward 7 hours the light is still on so I opened up the control box and tested the pump on manual and heard it turn on . I put it back on auto and I’m not seeing either light on the timer lit up . If I remember right the lower light is on when it’s on its off cycle and the upper turns on when the pump is on . Should I be alarmed ? I just closed the box up and left it on auto to see what tomorrow brings . Hopefully the pump will kick on and pump the water level down . I checked all the breakers and fuses also . Any insight would be wonderful.
