Aquascaping

I’m planning to do an aquascape setup for my aquarium (reference in the first photo), where I’ll have grass covering the substrate, and the flooring would be similar to the second image in my attachments. However, I’m unsure if it’s difficult to maintain when there are plants carpeting the bottom. Do you have any tips on keeping the substrate clean, and how much light I would need for this type of setup?

I’m a bit intimidated by it because whenever I do a full water change on my tank, I usually rinse the sand and rocks to remove as much guppy waste as possible. Since planted tanks have carpeting plants, I’m wondering if there’s an alternative way to keep the substrate clean without disturbing everything.

I also forgot to mention that I’m planning to add shrimp to help maintain the tank. Would they actually help keep the aquascape clean and manicured?

I put sand in my tank earlier and i was wondering if its safe to put my guppies in this tank (the water is a bit blurry or white-ish)
