I want to start Astrophotography

I want to start astrophotography. I have always liked space, loved it. But is it better to start with a DSLR camera, and if so, should i buy a mount (i have been looking at the Star Adventurer GTI) and buy adapters?

Edit: if any DSLR camera you could suggest below £500
