Thinking of getting a Bluetooth page turner for the X4 (Busy mom context + firmware support?)
Hi everyone! I’m currently using an x4 as my daily driver, and I’m trying to optimize my reading setup. I’m a mom of two toddlers, which means my hands are literally always full, trying to sneak in a few pages while multi-tasking.
Because of this, I'm heavily considering buying a Bluetooth page turner so I can prop the little x4 up on a stand and read completely hands-free. I am currently running the standard Crosspoint firmware.
For those who have managed to get a wireless page turner working with the X4:
- Is it worth it? Does a Bluetooth page turner work smoothly for hands-free reading on this hardware, or does the connection drop frequently?
- Which firmware/fork should I switch to? Should I stick with mainline Crosspoint, or should I flash a specific fork (like CrossInk or one of the dedicated Bluetooth-supported community forks) to get reliable page turner mapping?
Would love to hear or see about your setups and what specific clicker to use. Thanks in advance!
