Benefits on switching to 24000 grain ?
2 year old house in south Florida with 9x48 tank ( Clack valve ) and Iron filter before the softener.
- water hardness 20 gpm,
- 2 people in the house, water consumption is low . Total Around 100-140 gallons per day
- current regen cycle is every 5 days
- water always tests 1 gpm using the Hach 5B kit ( even the day before it regenerates )
I’m trying to make it more salt efficient so I don’t have to do it as often, would it be ok to change the setting to 24000 in order to use less salt ? Or keep extending my regenerations with the current settings. Would this affect the performance of the systems softening my water ?
