[Xbox 360][2005-2015] A game where you play as a turret shooting falling rocks back into the sky.

Platform: Xbox 360

Genre: I don't really know what this would count as, technically a shooter since you shoot at stuff? It was also a wave-based game, so it could fit into survival as well.

Estimated Year of Release: I really don't know, my best guess is some time before 2015.

Graphics/Art Style: It was a 2D game with pretty simple visuals, the only "camera angle" being a side view of your turret on the ground. It wasn't pixelated or retro-style or anything, the visuals looked pretty normal (I genuinely don't know how to express that the graphics were of a normal resolution for an Xbox 360 game). From what I remember, the ground, the rocks you shot at, and likely the turret itself were silhouetted against the background. I believe the background was also something like a murky, generally gloomy brown, but I could be wrong about that, so please take it with a grain of salt. I should note that despite being rocks falling from the sky, they don't look like actual meteorites in the way that meteorites burn up in the atmosphere, they're simply falling rocks.

Notable Characters: None

Notable Gameplay Mechanics: The gameplay loop is simply aiming a turret left and right at waves of rocks falling from the top of the screen. I believe you could also shoot temporary upgrades that fell from the sky to obtain them. One of the upgrades was the ability to shoot smaller pellets very quickly, and another let you shoot larger, heavier pellets at a slower pace. You might've also gotten some kind of bonus from not letting any rocks hit the ground during a wave? Every couple of waves, a single huge rock taking up a large portion of the screen would slowly fall from the top, and you would aim directly up at it and shoot it away. Repeat the cycle of waves until a rock hit the ground or your turret, or you're unable to repel the huge rock effectively and it hits you.

Other details: This game had multiplayer capabilities, I believe the maximum was 4. I wouldn't be surprised if it also had an online co-op mode, but I was too young to really know anything about that. If you were playing with more than one player, the players would be distributed evenly on the ground, all trying to shoot at the falling rocks. If a player got hit by a rock, their turret would break and be unable to play further, leaving the other players to repel the rocks. I SWEAR this game was called Storm, but I know there's an Xbox 360 game called Storm (with a tree on the cover art) and I promise that's not it. I used to play this game with my family all the time, along with Castle Crashers and Risk: Factions.
