Since I failed the bar exam, that conditional job is not out - 40 hours a week, great benefits, new state. Had another employer call me today to schedule an interview - my field of interest, in a state I like, with great pay. Had to say I am retaking February bar exam. Dude said how close were you? Gave a score and now it's we will get back to you - I expect ghosting. So, when you fail the bar exam, it literally fucks everything up. I'm venting so...and I have friends, family to vent to but most are non-lawyers so don't get it.

and I wouldn't recommend anyone to become an attorney at this point. The emotional and financial hurdles are not worth it, it seems...now I see why most attorneys told me not to do it.

Even if you get licensed, the hazing doesn't stop...and the job market is rough, especially if you didn't go to an Ivy League or graduate with a 3.5 or up.

Got a 60% when the average was 65%. Should this assure me? My MEE and MPT scores have been passing.

I feel it's just all too much to remember. You figure out a rule then it has 6 exceptions, then those exceptions have 3 nuances. Also, why is Themis still introducing new concepts at this point -____-

I am taking Themis and noticed the needle for the average completion rate hasn't moved since yesterday,lol.

Just curious. Apparently, some people complete most or all of the bar prep program and still fail, and others complete 30% and pass their first try. Maybe they are outliers? At this point I realize I am probably not going to finish more than 80% of the program.

I was but now I think I am just going to keep a book of "shame" instead. It takes less time, and zones in on my problem area. I find practice questions have been WAY more helpful for helping me improve than the lectures or lecture notes. Any thoughts?

Where do I go from here? I do the mcq un-timed without notes. For graded essays, done two so far, with notes and un-timed. Any suggestions going forward to bring my % up? I am doing practice questions, as of recent. I shoot for 25...

Its been 2 weeks and I don't feel like I am getting better. I did ok on a graded essay with open notes - 4/7. But the MCQ are killing me. Maybe I need to do more hours, average 5 a day including weekends. Would like to do more but I have a short attention span. But I have been doing more active stuff, flash cards, and more practice questions - not enough though. But I almost want to say fuck it and just get a JD preferred job. I feel this is just gate keeping.

I did well in Contracts in law school but doing horrible on the assessments.

In law school, property I did ok but I got a 68% for my first assessment. I truly understand it better than Contracts and it makes more sense to me. That gives me a boost of confidence but at same time, I feel hopeless because I am not understanding these Contract questions...

I have a friend who has mental health issues to the point where she is no longer a good friend...Which is not her fault. I still care about her but I feel her mental health is her priority - which it should be. I don't feel as close to her because I feel she's not the same person...again, not her fault. Anyone been through this?

I still consider her a friend but no longer a best friend.

Excluding elite law firms or federal clerkship, as I am not interested in that work.

Interested in PI or Workers' comp work, or anything else except taxes and family law.

I did 2 Clinics and got an A- so I feel that should be attractive to employers. I also do have work experience prior to law school.

On another note, it's crazy how a B is considered a good grade until you get to law school :/

I think I have ADHD, no joke. I can't sit through watching videos for several hours. I get bored and disengage. I learn by engaging and practicing the law. I am doing Themis and it's crazy that I have to sit and watch hours of a lecture. I try to make short notes but watching all these videos is killing me...I wish Quimbee kept its stand alone bar prep because that's more of my style - Quick, engaging, cartoon lectures. Comprehensive and to the point. I need tips, anyone? Especially those with ADHD...

I am so HAPPY! Haven't been this happy in years. As some of you may know, law school was rough for me. But I made it, and if I can do it, anyone can!!!
