Hi all! The other day I arrived in the City of Tears for the first time (beautiful!), and had the cut scene interaction with Hornet where she marks The Black Egg Temple on my map. I went there, but nothing happened. Maybe I misunderstood what she was telling me in that scene, but I'm worried that I missed something? When I think back to that scene I remember how gorgeous it was...not so much why she specifically marked out The Black Egg Temple.
Please no spoilers!! This is my first time playing Hollow Knight and literally all I knew going in was 1) the fandom is funny (silkposting ❤️) and everyone loves Hornet (she's pretty cool :3). This is my only interaction with the Reddit, I'm only going to check this thread so I'm really doing my best to avoid spoilers.
So far, I absolutely love it, and my favorite thing currently is since I learned how to wall jump recently, I went all the way back to the starting area and found a way to the Hollow Cliffs. I'm sure something would have led me there at some point, but going back and finding that on my own was such an incredible feeling. I can see why this game is SO beloved it's incredible.
(Marked as help early game, but I guess I really don't know just how far I am yet...it still feels pretty early! I still don't really know a lot I think)
