Advice Needed: Experienced UX Professionals
Hi All!
I've been mostly a lurker on this subreddit and finding it very sad that so many people are struggling through this hell of a job market.
For some context, I'm a UX Designer with about 5 years of experience. I've been laid off since early Feb and have had 4 interviews with 2 different companies. That was back in March and since then *crickets.* My ideal goal would be to land a new role in the HealthTech industry, preferably in the mental health focus (ie. BetterHelp, Brightline, Charlie Health etc). However, I know how much this current market favors exact domain experience.
Most of my experience is in edTech with a contract role designing for cancer patients. My current challenge is that I'm not even getting interviews for the edTech roles that I am qualified for - some of which I have referrals for! Is anyone else going through something similar or are my job materials really just that lacking? Would love some insight, offers to review my materials, resume examples, really anything at this point.
Thank you in advance!
