🆘 🙏 SUPPORT FOR FIP CAT ROSHKO 🙏 🆘
🐾Dear cat lovers 🐾
This cute boy is Roshko — one of the stray cats (more than 15) I take care of in front of my building.
He is only one year old. He is a wonderful, gentle, and cuddly tomcat who became seriously ill.
Roshko has ‼️** FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis**) ‼️ — a severe viral disease caused by a mutation of the feline coronavirus.
The “wet” form he developed is called that because it quickly leads to fluid accumulation in the abdomen, inflammation of blood vessels, organ failure, overall exhaustion, and death within just a few days if not treated with GS-441524.
As most of you already know GS-441524 is RELIABLE but EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE cure.
The treatment lasts 84 days, and the cost of the medication alone is about €19 per day. The administration of the injection costs an additional €5 per day.
🙏‼️ The total amount needed to fight the WET FIP is €24 per day, which comes to** €2000 + for the full treatmen**t ‼️🙏
Since Roshko was in very serious condition until the 5th GS injection, I took him daily to the clinic for IV fluids and supportive care.
We fed him with a syringe because he refused food for 6 days due to pain, and his belly was filled with a large amount of fluid.
All of this has led to even more expenses.
🐾 The good news is that Roshko is improving and is now eating on his own.
🐾 However, this does NOT mean I can stop the medication, because the disease will return in full force.
🐾 The medication must not be skipped even for a single day.
