LuminalShine: The High-Performance Sunshine Alternative Compatible with Moonlight

I see a lot of talk about Vibepollo and Vibeshine, and I wanted to bring more attention to the fork I made that is substantially ahead of Vibepollo/Vibeshine and is designed to be high-performance using Windows Applications Best Practices and more. LuminalShine can either be installed with SudoVDA (default), MTT VDD, or Luminal Video Graphics Adapter (LuminalVGD - Coming late 2026).

It is designed to support both Windows 11 and Windows 11 Insider Preview (all channels). However, some of the most important things it does is fix a lot of bugs and 'dead code' in Vibepollo and Vibeshine.

It is AI-enhanced by Claude, but code and architecture are regularly reviewed, including by additional bots as well as human intervention.

To view everything that is currently changed from Vibeshine / Vibepollo, see the GitHub Releases here: https://github.com/NortheBridge/luminalshine/releases

Documentation will soon be available at: https://gitdocs.northebridge.com/

It will also be available via WinGet at the next Microsoft Merge with the command "winget install LuminalShine" via Windows Terminal.

LuminalShine should be able to transfer all pairings for devices and administrative access during installation time. The new location of configurations like device pairings and administrative access will become %ProgramData%\LuminalShine\

Windows 11 64-bit Only.

Please feel free to ask any questions or try it out for yourself! As far as I'm aware, it works with all Moonlight Clients!

After being dismissed entirely by the author of Vibeshine because I was running Windows Insider Preview, yet explained what was going on, I had the idea of forking the project and developing exclusively to run on both Windows 11 GA & Windows 11 Insider Preview. My goal is to keep both groups of people able to enjoy Sunshine and Alpha 7, as well as Beta 1, which contains the fixes for Insider Preview, which must use HEVC or AV1.

I hope you are all willing to try it! It should just pick up Vibeshine's settings, but if it doesn't, you can simply repair your devices quickly and adjust your settings fast.
