First CAT Mock (No Preparation) Looking for Improvement Tips

I gave my first full-length CAT mock today without any dedicated preparation. The only CAT-related practice I've done so far is solving the CAT 2025 papers.

I know that as a GEM fresher, even a 99+ percentile may not be enough for the top IIMs, and realistically I probably need 99.5+ percentile (or higher) to maximize my chances.

i am good at quant because of my JEE background, but very weak in varc as you can see in scorecard how bad my accuracy is in varc

For those who improved from a weak VARC base to 99+ overall percentile:

  1. What helped you improve VARC the most?
  2. How much daily reading is actually necessary?
  3. Should I focus more on RCs or verbal ability first?
  4. How do I improve accuracy rather than just increasing attempts?
  5. Are there any specific resources, courses, or routines that worked for you?

Any advice from people who significantly improved their VARC would be really helpful.

CAT Graduation Marks Doubt – Which Percentage Will Be Considered?

I am a final year BTech student. While filling the CAT form, my CGPA will be around 7.4 (74%). Suppose by interview/document verification time, my final CGPA increases to around 7.7 (77%).

My doubts:

  1. Should I submit the updated 77% during interviews/document verification or the 74% entered in CAT form?
  2. For final selection, will IIMs consider 74% or updated 77%?
  3. If shortlists are made using 74%, can final admission later use 77%?

Would appreciate replies from someone who faced this situation
