Reasons for not getting hired when I have years of experience?
I’m home for the summer and I was hoping to get a job at Wendy’s since it’s one of the only places that’s even got back to me with an interview. I went in and I thought the interviewer and I clicked, she complimented my outfit, told me I seemed like a good fit, she seemed to like everything I said and she told me I’d hear back within 24-48 hours. But after a couple days I hadn’t got a call so I called them and they said they decided not to move forward.
I don’t want to complain but its super frustrating when they don’t even give a reason as to why because I have COMPLETELY open availability (no restrictions whatsoever I even told them I’d work as much or as little as they needed me), I’ve worked in customer service for 3 years and in the restaurant industry for 5, I even have great references. I’m not applying for a manager position or anything. I’m so curious as to why they didn’t hire me? The only thing I can even think of is the fact that I’m currently taking time off from university to save up for tuition but as many of yall know that can literally take years and I don’t plan to leave anytime in the next year or two.
