
Help with B2-B3 Mog deck
Hello!
I recently got the idea of building a Mog, Moogle Warrior deck. As someone who plays around B4 usually, recently I have invited some friends to try Commander. Some of them already got decks built up, but all of my current ones are a bit too powerful for them.
So here enters Mog. My line of thinking is building a deck that feels pretty honest about its intentions and win condition. No infinite combos that come out of nowhere. Just good old combat-focused gameplay apt for mid-power level tables. Also, he's adorable, so there's that.
At first, I tried to go the token route. Huge mistake. I just found out how massively expensive all the token multipliers are. Elspeth, Ocelot Pride and friends are out of my reach. So I decided to go the tribal route with a sprinkle of madness.
The deck is pretty low budget, built on three premises:
Get Mog out on turn 2 instead of turn 3 and start looting and getting Moogles out. Skirk Prospector, Goldhound, Strike It Rich and the rituals come into play here.
Add value for looting. Squee and Madness cards help turning the looting into a +1.
Building a board with tribal synergies using changelings and then protecting it from board wipes with the several cards white brings to the table.
With this in mind, do you guys have any suggestions on what to add or cut from this list? I'd like to keep it around the 150-200 USD range.
Also, if you have completely different ways of building Mog, I'd love to know!
