The new scroll-pause ads resolved my doom-scrolling habit

Facebook rolled out their 5 second scroll pause for me to review an add. This immediately broke my mindless cycle and had me put down my phone, and focus on what I was initially doing.

My bad habit of checking any/all notifications, then trapping myself for a 5 minute sesh of scrolling, obliterated by this pause.

Now I do not doomscroll on FB, only on YT and Reddit. Personal Facebook app usage is down 63% this week.

This is great! And very anecdotal.

But wait... what about my own ads? Has anyone noticed anything in particular after this adition? I'm not running any currently.
