Hello all, I have a question regarding pruning on trees/shrubs after hard freeze. I have some that lost all their leaves but have started showing new growth from the bottom. Should I prune them down to the new growth since it looks like there isn’t new growth higher up? The pic is one of my plant showing new growth at the bottom. I’m in East Central Florida.

Caught this guy in a community park about mid morning in east central florida. Used a 3” Crème Lures swimming shad with added spinner. Forgot to bring my scale, but my guess is between 3 to 4 lbs, maybe closer to 4 😏
