I've been vaping for 7 years. Tried quitting probably 6 times.
Every time I'd try a different strategy—patches, gum, willpower—something would stick for a week and then just… collapse. So I got frustrated and just… built my own.
It's called Fade. The whole idea is that you don't cold turkey (unless you want to)—you set a daily limit, reduce it slowly, and the app tracks your intake in real time. There's a health timeline that shows you exactly what's recovering in your body hour by hour. And there's this "Fight Monster" feature that turns your cravings into something you actively battle instead of just white-knuckling through.
I'm not going to pretend it's perfect. It's new. But it's the first thing that's actually made me feel like I'm winning instead of just surviving.
If you're mid-quit or thinking about starting, give it a shot and tell me what you think. Brutally honest feedback is welcome; I read everything.
(mods — happy to remove if this breaks any rules, just genuinely wanted to share it here first)
