Train to Sydney
Hi, I’m looking for help please to ease my panic.
I have finally landed a job after my last contract ended in December. Thank God! It’s been hard finding something in Newcastle in my field and I’ve had to search wider than I thought for something that fit.
I went through the interview process under the impression it would be a remote role, however, I just got my contract and it’s actually a hybrid role - working from the Sydney office certain days.
My anxiety immediately went through the roof and I am fighting back a panic attack, so I am coming here for advice from other commuters.
I tried to google train schedules and changes required and I’m just not understanding. It doesn’t help that I don’t have a broad knowledge of Sydney suburbs and I’ve also embarrassingly never caught the train.
I live in Beresfield - and can walk to the station here, which is great. It’s just what I need to do after that that I’m panicking about. My office is in Bulletin Place, Sydney.
Can someone nice please talk me through what I have to do to get there? And how do I use an Opal card - is there a tapping machine at the station that I tap before and after the trip? Is that a dumb question? I don’t know…
I’m sorry.
