i’m new and the safe is short every time i close.
this is my first reddit post, so forgive me if i’m not doing this right but i need some advice. i recently was hired as a support lead and am unsure what to do. i’ve closed for about 2 months now, maybe 10 shifts and every time i do the safe is short and i know for a fact i’m counting it correctly because i will triple count it when the numbers don’t add up. most of the time it’s like 10,15 dollars short but it’s getting old having to call the MM every night and ask what to do. i’m considering quitting just for this simple issue alone. the job is fun but for 12/hr it’s not worth the hassle of management when i can go somewhere else for more money with less responsibility. i’ve overheard some issues about the other manager (forgive me i don’t know the titles - not the store manager or the merch manager but maybe they are called the sales manager?) they’ve said they don’t want to “accuse” but it’s always when they work that it’s short for me the next night. i just want a shift that things go smoothly and i don’t have to call anyone about money issues. what should i do? are money problems common at anyone else’s store?
