Long-haul flight

Hey everyone,

I am finally doing it. I am planning an upcoming flight from Amsterdam to Tokyo which is going to be about 12 to 13 hours in the air.

I really don't like turbulence, and I know long-haul flights over the jet stream can get a little bumpy. I was actually looking at the 2-seat pairs in the very back row because I'm traveling as a pair and wanted the privacy, but I read that the tail of the plane sways the most during bumps.

I’m trying to decide if I should just stay over the wings where it’s smoother, or brave the back of the plane.

Honestly, I’m just looking for a bit of encouragement from people who have conquered long-haul flights like this. If you have any tips for surviving a 12-hour flight when you're a nervous flyer, please let me know!

Thank you all for being such an amazing, supportive community.

Thoughts on Row 43 (777-200ER) for AMS to NRT?

Hey everyone,

I’m flying from Amsterdam to Tokyo(13 hours) on a KLM Boeing 777-200ER and I'm looking at the seat map.

We are 2 people, so these green in Row 43 caught my eye since they are the only pairs on the sides.

However its in the very back of the plane, very close to the toilets and im worried about noise, and if they can recline since there is nothing behind

Would love to hear the experience from anyone who has taken these exact seats.
