I grew up playing tournaments and also played D1 and always used the cheapest and most durable string I could find, non poly strings and some poly would last about 2 practices.

Just turned 30 and just started playing and training again, planning on playing local tournaments. However, I believe the reel of tourna premiun poly is causing some elbow pain.

Got any recommendations on some affordable and durable poly that is not that harsh on the elbow?

For reference I mostly play with a vcore 95 or ezone 98 tour
