Iv had this idea for a few months now.
It started when i heard billy joels "uptown girl" and then a few songs later i heard madonnas "material girl"
And i started thinking about how interesting it would be to make a whole town based on song lyrics.
here is the example of what story came from uptown girl and material girl
Its a story of a working class guy sees a rich girl and he wants to impress her while being able to afford it. But the rich girl just wants material things like clothes, jewelry, and the like. (I havent found a song that ends the story yet)
Another example of songs that make a story is Rockwells "somebodys watching me" into hall and oates "private eyes"
Its story is of an average guy who is paranoid that they are being watched. Then we flip to the perspective of a private detective who was hired to investigate this "average guy" who is indeed watching him
I would love to have a story made up of 80s 90s and 00s billboard top 100 or 200 songs/most popular song made in a specific year so 1981 can only have songs from 1981 in it. And with these story lines i would love one of those Poi maps where the city or town has all the songs written where they would happen in this fictional town.
Well as i feared comix has made scraping extremely difficult.
Before people complain about the mentioning of comix. I think website scraping is in line with piracy, so i wish to inform others about this.
On to the topic of this post.
Previously i documented the issue of every 3rd panel not showing up in the console. And the workaround at the time was to right click then save image as.
Well its now changed its now every 4th panel, so if using an image downloader extention. You will be missing pages 4,8,12,16,20...ect. The right click save image as no longer works.
I personally tried fmd2 but haven't had any luck with it pulling chapters. It accepts the link but no chapters show up.
This is honestly ridiculous for a piracy site to do. I realized that it adds strain to the overall system, but when 99% of your library is scraped content from other piracy sites it only hurts the site.
There's a few ways this could be fixed
It seems like they really are doing some silly choices.. the WM was a dumb choice and now anti scraping measures similar to what asura did
