Possibly The Most Depressing Finals Game 7 Ever
Hi all!
Wanted to share something "fun" here. I started a new save the other day, basically doing a full history restart. I start in 1947 with historical rosters and no random debuts, essentially going to re-write the league history.
I took over the Knicks, and actually had a banger of a season, finishing with a 41-19 record, league best.
Playoffs come along, I reach the finals against the St. Louis Bombers. Series starts off well, I lead 3-1, but then drop games 5 and 6. We're now heading into Game 7, in the first finals series in the league's history! Biblical scenes being witnesses here in the inaugural season!
Game starts, and my best player (Cluggish) gets injured 3min into the game, and the Bomber's best player and season MVP (Siewert) gets injured 7min in.
The game drags on, with some horrible basketball on display, with a final score of 49-47, in favor of the Bombers who become the first League Champs in what I believe will forever be remembered as the most dreadful finals game 7 ever.
Neither team reached 20% FG, with my guys rocking a abysmal 12.9% FG, and the Bombers 18.9%. It's bad enough how bad this game was, it's extra salt in the wound that I lost the title in this fashion, after leading the series 3-1.
See below the stats, I really hope I won't see another game like this haha.
