And still can’t find all the conjugation spells and amount of collectables in this game are insane 🤣
Now, what’s been appalling to me personally is the amount of spells in the game are very limited. We can’t cast cool fire swirls like poachers (or Solomon who’s an ex Auror), we know Lumos but don’t know nox ( never say it anyways) we don’t know wandless magic (for the MC this should be something easily achievable and it gets annoying to listen to accio this accio that). Amount of combat spells is actually quite limited and same mechanics. I really appreciated transfiguration spell, at least it gave combat some fun aspect.
Also combatting mechanics are poor ass. I mean lumos has to be basic spell like revelio and accio. We need arm extension for combat spells. So let’s say holding R2 and double press X, double press O and so on will give us easier access to spells rather than keep swapping them here and there.
Vivariums / room of requirement must have auto spell selection so you don’t have to keep jiggling your combat spells. Reparo was the most useless for me apart from melted snowman :( didn’t bother with reparo Merlin trials that you can’t skip !!1 definitely need to reorganise spells, make more spells and make it structured, not year 1 spells. This was huge let down for me personally .
Moving to the social interactions. Game definitely got updated now we can hear townspeople chatting, but it absolutely kills my life MC can’t bloody sit down 🤣 can’t chat to people or anyhow mark their presence , I mean now with AI some chats can be not scripted and become quite funny.
Absence of classes as everyone mentions, lack of consequences like rdr2 and inability to smack fellow students or get hit by fellow students. Wouldn’t it be cool if you running around castle and someone attacked you (invited you for duel) this will be more fun, then you’d get busted by teachers and get detention 😀 if you managed to escape before ending the duel then no detention for you and extra house points (no unforgivable sin the castle). If MC in sequel will be in year 6 then they can be perfect and live in their own tower not dorm so they can wonder around castle at night catching students that wonder around at night (make it occasional annoying duty like in real life) 😀 if player let’s say doesn’t want this duty he has to be disillusioned in certain areas of the caste at night. This is only an example of what can be done that probably won’t be done.
So more spells and more spells that we can learn from the restricted section BY OURSELVES by completing quests! I find Sebastian an entitled prat that is childish. Having to learn spells of someone rather that self education is actually insane for me.
Need apparition I appreciate the floo flame system at least learn apparition and use it in magic/muggle London locations or outside of Hogwarts grounds. Why it’s important for me personally? It’s just the gap of running around yelling “your blood is on ranrocks hands” while not able to Apparate is ridiculous 😀
More locations: like underwater will be appreciated won’t mind it as DLC as well since the mechanics of the spells will be quite different and it’s a lot of work. I also think where Hogwarts express goes to the tunnel we should be able to travel through there to platform 9 3/4 and from there to magical London. I’d greatly appreciate muggle London too us casting spells , get caught, sent to Azkaban 🤣 which should be a location too. Learning patronus charm will also be nice addition. With dementors , criminals and all that if MC chooses dark path. Ministry of magic for those who wants to be on the moral side . Becoming a dark wizard or an Auror at the end will be great. It will be consistent if MC can’t learn patronus as a dark wizard but can learn something instead and vice versa . Secret chamber for sure with basilisk at the ready and MC hunting for a rooster.
I’d appreciate flying like dark cloud death eater style or white one like order of phoenix depending on your moral choices will be awesome too. I’d also appreciate having to decide if MC is pure blood then having a home somewhere with an elf will be cool. If MC is muggle born having a house in London and be able to purchase elf (not sure how it’s done?) will be cool too if you double tap revelio and summon your elf for something (like completing perfect duty rounds 🤣)
Quidditch . This is one of the biggest misses in the game for me, I was looking forward for house competition , as everyone else said points system where you get these few students that always mess up.
Potion making: I think actually combining ingredients to enhance potions will be so cool, or spoiling them when something goes wrong , drinking them and turning into cat as an option will be funny too.
I’d purchase animagus dlc too which is absolutely useless for many , but I think it’s cool.
Ps. Now being able to deploy different color thestrals and hippogriffs (I want golden one) is also sad story.
