During the whole development for our this project, my team and I would normally do everything related to art and music on our game. Assets would do the heavy lifting for our programmers in the beginning.
But when we hired an artist from a fellow indie studio, here in Brazil, we noticed how overworked we were. Having somebody with a clean and outside view from the project helped us a lot and the final product shows that.(Can't show all the illustrations before launch because spoilers for the game ending)
The same thing happened with the soundtrack(can't post it now because is getting finished)
I would like to know if you guys had the same experience as we had
