When Does a Safety Hazard Become More Than a “Minor Scratch”?

Had ordered a multipurpose electric kettle from Blinkit .. the lid came with chipped glass and visible glass particles on the lid.

Sent photos.
Sent videos.
Reported it immediately.

Blinkit’s verdict? “Cannot validate.”

Followed by:
“Minor scratch. No replacement.”

Interesting definition of a scratch considering the product literally has broken glass on a food appliance.

The product page promises a 7-day replacement window, but apparently that doesn’t apply when the damage is inconvenient to acknowledge.

If a customer can spot loose glass particles within seconds of opening the box, why is the burden on the customer to prove that broken glass is broken glass?

Consumer complaint is next.

Photos attached. You decide whether this looks like a “minor scratch.”
