Looking for a reliable extended eyecup for the a6700. Are the Kiwifotos ones really this fragile?

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for recommendations for a deep, extended eyecup for my a6700.

I shoot a lot of candid street and documentary photography, and I rely heavily on the EVF to analyze high-contrast scenes and shadow play before taking the shot. The stock eyecup just lets in way too much ambient glare.

I was leaning toward the Kiwifotos (Kiorafoto) extended eyecup because the dimensions look perfect, but I've been looking at the reviews and I'm pretty concerned about the build quality. Multiple buyers have posted photos of the rubber completely tearing away from the plastic mount.

One review mentioned it "fell apart in one month" right after the return window closed. Another user noted it tore less than a year after buying, and someone else complained that the plastic mount is too tight and "does not fit A6700".

Has anyone here used the Kiwifotos version long-term? Did I just stumble on a bad batch of reviews, or is the tearing a widespread issue?

More importantly, are there any other brands making a true extended eyecup for the a6700 that can actually survive regular use out on the street?

Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

My first mirrorless. Moved on from nikon d7500. Right decision? Major use - for street and documentary photography.
