Doom (2016)

This is the first game in the Doom series that I've played, and it was simply amazing. The exploration is extremely rewarding, and the collectibles are really fun to look for; even if you have to replay levels to find certain things, the gameplay makes this replayability great, without being tiring or repetitive.

And speaking of gameplay, man, this game feels so good to play. The music fits perfectly, the Glory Kills on the demons, the many weapons you get throughout the story, and the upgrades — both for the gear and for the Doom Slayer himself — everything fits together so well.

I confess that at first, I was pretty lost regarding the story, but as I read more and paid attention to the cutscenes, I found the way it's told simply incredible. Hearing the legends about our character, past events, and locations left me extremely curious and wanting to play all the other games in the franchise to better understand this well-built universe.

I got 100% completion on everything possible in the story mode, now all that's left are the multiplayer achievements (something that, by the way, I'll always be against in any game). The servers are pretty dead, so I'm going to wait for three more people to manage to get these last achievements.
