Well, I wanted to share my symptoms of a faulty OVP relay here. Every now and then the car had trouble starting — I mean 5-10 seconds of cranking until it finally started, then it would idle at around 500 RPM with the ABS light staying on for several seconds.
At first it only happened once every ten starts, but it gradually got worse and worse until it occurred every single time you started the car.
It’s important to point out that it didn’t matter whether the engine was cold or hot. When cold, it always took a long time to start. When hot, it would start but the ABS light would stay on and the idle would remain very low for a few seconds.
After replacing the relay, the car now starts perfectly.
