“You can’t use PayPal anymore” after attempting to close my account.

I just wanted to deactivate my account. After logging in, I did have to change my password, but I still had the email and the phone number attached to the account and was able to use those to change my password and get in. I went to close my account; first of all, all it popped up with was a contact us page and couldn’t go any further, so I clicked the back button at the bottom. Of course that logged me out of my account and when I logged back in all that popped up was that I can’t use PayPal anymore because I did something against user agreement. For a little more context, I’ve had an account since 2019, the only activity in the account was a $7 charge last year I don’t even remember doing. Genuinely what did I do wrong? If I call will they even be able to deactivate the account? I understand they hold information, I just wanted the account gone.
