PhD in CompSci at University of Luxembourg
I am applying to PhD programmes in Europe. I applied to a few positions at the U of Luxembourg, seems like they've been open for months now? They say they process applications in a rolling fashion, anyone have any insight into the process or how long it usually takes?
Also does anyone know how competitive it usually is? In the USA it was already pretty insane even before the funding cuts, but I had heard the requirements were not that harsh in Europe (yes I understand there's still hundreds of applications for a singular vacancy). I have a B.S and M.S CS from two different T30 universities in the USA with a 3.6-7 GPA, research experience at 3 labs and one very low impact first author paper that wasn't desk rejected and is stuck in peer review at a Q1 journal. References from undergrad, work and one famous professor (especially in French speaking countries) at my grad school.
Sorry if this isn't the right subreddit but there's very little information I can find about PhD programmes, while there are several posts here regarding a masters degree. I have more insight into Germany and the Netherlands, but feel kinda lost here.
