I’m pretty new to fragrances, but I’ve been diving in a lot lately and trying to figure out what I actually like. One thing I keep coming back to is how insanely good the LV fragrances are. Every time I smell them, they just feel a level above—super clean, refined, and they really stand out compared to a lot of other stuff I’ve tried. I currently own Imagination and it honestly blew me away, which is why I went back planning to pick up Symphony.
But the in-store experience completely killed the vibe for me. The staff were really dismissive from the start and made me feel like I didn’t belong there. At one point I was basically told to leave if I wasn’t going to buy anything, and when I said I was actually planning to buy Symphony, the guy just brushed me off, said they didn’t have it, and didn’t try to help at all. It felt unnecessarily rude and honestly pretty off-putting.
It kind of made me rethink how I see the brand as a whole. On one hand, I genuinely think their fragrances are elite. On the other hand, everything else—from the in-store attitude to the overall brand image—just doesn’t sit right with me. The monogram-heavy stuff feels kind of tacky to me personally, and the pricing across the brand can feel pretty excessive. That experience just reinforced that feeling.
So now I’m in this weird spot where I really love the scents, but I kind of hate everything surrounding them.
Does anyone else feel this way about LV or other brands? Like loving the product but not the brand or experience at all?
