I have to train someone I’ve got a bit of a crush on. How do I not make an ass out of myself?

A bit of context: I’m a guy in my mid twenties working a job that needs a lot of coordination and fine motor skills. I’ve always been a pretty nervous person, but working with people I find attractive has never been an issue for me.

Now I’ve never trained anyone before, but I was overall excited to give it a shot. I’ve had some great mentors in my career so I was looking forward to trying to give that experience to someone. Unfortunately though, every time I’m around this person I start acting like a complete idiot. I keep dropping stuff, tripping over my words, and I generally just get tenser as time goes.

Now I would never want to get involved with someone I have a professional relationship with, especially when I’m supposed to be that person’s mentor. I want to make sure they’re set up for success and comfortable at work, but I think I’m failing pretty hard so far.
