any tips on helping my mother see how serious celiac is?
I’m 15, today I got a blood test back that says I’m celiac. When I got back into the car with my mother (55) she immediately told me that celiac disease isn’t actually a thing, that’s she not wasting her money on anything gluten-free, and then referenced a random story of a neighbour who was misdiagnosed that has nothing to do with me.
If anybody has any tips on how to make her see how serious this is I’d appreciate it, I’m very worried for my health in the future if I continue being forced to eat gluten after knowing what it can do. (I’ve already had a lot of troubles with chronic fatigue and constant dizziness/passing out which led to getting a blood test in the first place)
