Would you pay $25/month to have all your transactions automatically categorized and tracked?

I've been building a personal finance app because I got tired of downloading statements, manually categorizing purchases, and trying to figure out where my money went every month.

The goal is simple:

  • Automatically import transactions
  • Categorize spending
  • Show monthly spending trends
  • Track budgets
  • Monitor account balances
  • Generate reports without spreadsheets

Before I spend more time integrating additional bank feeds and advanced features, I'm trying to validate whether this is actually a painful enough problem for people.

A few questions:

  • Would you pay $25/month for this?
  • If not, what price would make sense?
  • What would make you switch from your current budgeting tool?
  • Are you currently using Excel, YNAB, Monarch, Copilot, or something else?

Would love some honest feedback from other founders and business owners.
