I have one exam left to graduate (masc 310), and the final exam is only worth 20% of the grade.

I did the math, and I can skip the final and still graduate. I only need a 40% to keep my graduation honor based on the tentative (pre-curve) grades in my other classes. I only need a 70% on the exam to get an A-.

Should I study? I’m lowkey tired

I was raised a southern baptist in a small town in the south, and now I’m a staunch atheist. When I talk with my friends (religious or not), they seem more ambivalent about religion. The ones who were raised mainline protestant or catholic may currently feel like there is or isn’t a god, but they treat god completely differently. Some of them say that they believe in god as more of a metaphor for good. Some of them believe in a literal god and a literal jesus, but they’re ambivalent about other elements of the religion and the bible. Some of my friends are jewish and don’t even believe in god—they just follow the traditions and celebrate holidays.

I, on the other hand, was raised in a very intense religious family and now intensely don’t believe in god. Why does this happen? Is there a crash and burn effect? Am I secretly still “evangelical”, just the other way?
