Tracked24 not tracked for a week. Lost passport?
I was applying for a visa that involves sending your passport to the visa office in London. I posted via RoyalMail Tracked24 at 16:30 from Brighton on 26.5.26. ( I did not know about Special Delivery and the post office did not suggest it, I just said I wanted fastest delivery).
Since, then it has not been scanned even once.
I have been to the post office since- they said they dont have it. I have been to the local sorting office and they said it is at Gatwick. (I dont know how they saw that given my tracking says its still being expected.)
The helpline hasn't been very helpful either.
It is a foreign passport. I have paid visa fees and booked flights already. (return flights are often required to get a short term visa approved).
What is chance I will get my passport back? Does the "claim" actually involve looking for the item?
I don't know whether to cancel my flights as now theres barely enough time to get a visa even if the passport is delivered to the visa office.
