Hello! I’m a pre-IB gr.10 student in Canada and I’ve been really interested in forensic science, biology and chemistry. I’m looking to learn more about forensic, especially forensic in Canada for high schooler, the future of this career (university options, job opportunities etc) I want to work in labs so I also want to know if that is a major part of forensic science/ what would I take if I want to mainly work in labs. Here’s my questions! Any advice would be extremely helpful and greatly appreciated based on your experience!!

1. How can I get more experience as a high school to support my application for this major?
2. Would a major in Biology or Chemistry be helpful?
3. How long would it take to complete university degree that meets the requirements for a job in forensic?
4. Is forensic science major/ forensic related things hard to find a job as many posts (on Reddit) describes?
5. What does the job experience actually look like?
