Has craft fair quality decreased???
Idk if im being rude, but it feels like every craft fair i go to seems to have lesser quality stuff than they used to. I thought it was where I lived, but I was in New Hampshire for a Ren Faire and a lot of the stuff was, imo, low quality. Some stuff was AMAZING, and better than the stuff in my home town, but a lot was still very....rough....
Is this normal? Or have my standards raised unrealistically? Even the needle felted stuff wasn't fully felted (i was aftraid they would bust in the wind- no joke), and since that's been my main art style for a while now, I know generally what a quality piece looks like. A few of the booths had the vision, but not the execution. There was one felt booth that blew my socks off tho!
I could see finger prints in the ceramics, shoddy sewing, etc, too. Ugh, and the amount of things that are 3d printed from purchased designs and I SWEAR I saw some AI stuff 🫠
