Biggest Pick Up Regret Became Luckiest Find
Years ago I saw Blasphemous for $40 at GameStop (GS) and didn’t pick up because the one boss looked too grotesque(absolute idiot, I know).
By the time I learned about it and became interested, it already became hard to find (consistently unavailable on GS) and $80+. Finally when it hit $100 on price chart I broke and bought it digitally, had an absolute blast, would have 100% completed if not for the platforming challenge, and it became one of my grails.
Fast forward to yesterday, I travel for work and like to randomly go on GS and play “Am I within 100 miles of a rarer game?” and I finally got a hit, and picked it up for $45 an hour drive away.
TL;DR: Blasphemous pick up at $45, after previous missed opportunity, GameStop pick up in store search can be helpful for otherwise unavailable games.
