Just wanted to share my Excitement!!

I have just got over with my Biggest and most probably my BEST Switch Haul yet. I was able to save healthy amount of money and did all of my research before securing the most cheapest available price for all of the 24 Physical games that I have secured.

The haul includes Amazon, Ebay, VGP and Super Rare Games as well.

I have gone HAM on SHMUPs, Beat Em Ups and it has all kind of varieties of other genres too. Yess yess I know that I haven’t post any pics but lets say I am just waiting for all of them to make it my home safe and sound. This shall be done by the time Next week’s Friday arrives. Stay Tuned !!!! I love this community. Y’all are literally the best folks. I can now finally say that I do have some Backlogs💀💀💀

What games have standalone switch 2 copies like Hogwarts.

I’m looking for games I can borrow, buy the switch 2 upgrade and not need the physical cartridges any longer… I know Hogwarts Legacy is one is there any others.

Few pickups.

Finishing my Ys modern collection. I got X to pickup tomorrow and VIII is coming at the end of the month. Origins and Felghana are already on my shelf. I hope they remake/remaster all others too. I decided to go for the PS5 versions of the later 3 because VIII and IX come with a soundtrack CD + manual and X is a modern entry that it's either GKC or full on disc so I went with the obvious.

SaGa finally came from PlayAsia. It was 15€!

Lollipop was part of a recent haul. It was 30€ brand new and Monster Hunter Rise was in a used market listing. Was 20 comes with cartridge and all expansions/pre order bonuses. Problem is the extras are all codes. Is there a version of the game with everything on cart?

Name a game that is just fun, and 1 you think is the best from your collection and 1 that is just weird.

I think Tinykin would be my fun game here, but I just bought the physical so it is close to the most valuable one I have (to my knowledge). But allow me to supplant Ori and the Will of the Wisps for my fun game here. I just enter my happy place with that game.

Lastly, my "just weird" game is going to have to be.. Gori or 100th Line Defense Academy? I definitely collect more than I play but that's my hunch for what I have. Thanks for giving us a comment if you feel inclined!

Found Cuphead on clearance at Target for $8 and it’s a fully updated cart rerelease (Cart 01, version 1.3.7). No additional updates needed.

Long time lurkers Collection- just shy of 700 games

Hello everybody,

Long time lurker here. Finally decided to post my collection. Bought a switch day one, got into collecting when limited run started doing releases, really kicked it up a notch around 2020. Like many here I like the idea of preserving physical media and having a physical library to browse. I felt quite early into the switches lifespan that it's ecosystem would be the last physical-dominant console system, so I went pretty hard on collecting for it.

I buy games I have an interest in playing, but like many of us here, my free time to play is limited. I've maxed out my shelving and am starting to trim games I've lost desire in playing, which is mostly JRPGS and anime-art based games.

I do plan on continuing to collect and create a walled shelving unit for it all. This will likely wait for the next move.

Hopefully by browsing my collection you'll see some physical releases you missed. I know I love looking through what others post here for the same reason.

Feel free to ask questions. Cheers guys.

*This is 95% of my collection. The other 5% (Mario titles and multiplayer/switch 2 games live by the system)*

Anyone else still waiting on their day 1 pre order of Oblivion?

Annoying that you can pre order something as soon as it’s announced but a major retailer like Best Buy doesn’t fulfill your order. I saw the Target stock for pre orders way back and should have double dipped and possibly had to return one.

Another birthday, this time with Switch 2 games

Xenoblade is also my first switch 2 edition that will be replacing my switch 1 copy

I'm the gamedev who made this game and I'm curious why it's worth so much

I know the simple answer is that it's scarce -- we did a small run -- But there are many games as scarce that aren't priced at $150+, which is what this is at on PriceCharts. And objectively, multiple times the NA version has sold for over $200 in recent history on Ebay.

Also objectively, the game wasn't a smash hit to where the property has tons of notoriety or something. It did well for a solo dev, but again, I have to wonder why the price is so high. Is it the scarcity + people like the cover art or somethin'?

edit: some have claimed that the price isn't what I said -- pay attention to the region (so you want to see ESRB on the box) and condition (sealed) and platform (Switch). If all those things are true, it absolutely can and has sold for over $150, sometimes over $200. And if a lower price was accepted on Ebay you can tell -- long time ebayer here, I know how to check an ebay price

3 Newcomers in my collection

I already got Titan quest on steam, it's just for the collection and i find the cover sick. I abandonned Bayonetta 3 on Switch but i wanted to give it a new chance on Switch 2. Was curious about Trek to Yomi and i found it at a good price. What do you think ?

After more than a few years, I'm really happy with what I have.

Most of these I got on release, but a few of them I picked up on sale after waiting for a good deal. I'm lucky to have gotten P3P and P4G on release. I have two copies of the SMTVanilla steelbook because the first one I bought has a cracked outer sleeve and the store was really nice and told me to keep it.

I heard so many bad things about Remnant on Switch but after having hundreds of hours on the ultra quality settings Steam version, I'm still okay with how it runs on Switch2 with handheld boost. A clear downgrade, but by no means unplayable. I actually prefer playing it on SW2 over the Steam Deck for now.

The Persona and Hollow Knight physicals really made me miss a good physical manual, and I'm excited to get the physical Switch 2 versions of Hollow Knight and Silksong in October. What a great pair of Fall / Halloween games.

Overall, I don't want a massive collection and want to keep it highly curated to games I'm always itching to play. I obviously still want to grow the collection, but I'm looking for a shelf sized collection, not a wall.

Someone made a post on Ghost Song and I had no Idea I had a somewhat rare game! 😭

I originally picked it up for like, 29.99$ when if first came out! I never finished the game, I feel guilty now.
