I am looking for buy a second hand tm5 for 450 aud. The seller on fb marketplace claimed that most functions are working perfectly but only the recipe chip reading is intermittent. Should I buy this for 450 aud? What are the things I should check before buying? Thanks

I am a noob when it comes to manual coffee machines. I am interested in Breville coffee machines. Currently looking at a brand new Breville Bambino ($500 AUD) vs a second-hand Breville Barista Express BES870 ($150 AUD).
I have heard that the grinder is not so great in the Barista Express and therefore was more inclined towards the Bambino (was going to pair it with a Baratza grinder). However, it’s a little out of my budget.
Should I wait for the Bambino to go on sale, or get a second-hand Barista Express?
