So basically, my husband has been increasingly watching people like Andrew Wilson on YouTube. As the caption suggests, he told me today after I asked him outright, he doesn't think women should have the right to vote, as women are not conscripted into wars. We should not have the right to vote in a government that will send him to war to die. I was shocked and appauled. I have tried to reason with him, explaining that here in the UK there has not been conscription for 65 years, not in his or infact even his dad's lifetime so this is a made up scenario. He doesn't want to hear it. I am devastated. We are supposed to be trying for a baby, what if that baby is a girl. I asked him this he really didn't have a response. We have been together for 15 years, and he started having some mental health issues a few years ago which I was by his side for, fighting for him every step of the way but that's when he started saying things like, women are the root of all evil and now this. He was/is a good and kind man who used to be thoughtful and genuine so the juxtaposition here is difficult for me. What do I do? We are in the UK and I don't want to hear any of your, girl put that man in the bin shit, this is an incredibly serious and complex situation.
TL;DR -- My husband of 15 years says women shouldn't vote as they don't get conscripted. I don't know ow what to do.
