Not sure what to do
I’m 22 with no credit cards. This mess all started a year ago now. I put in an order for a brand new phone of my own (I’ve never had my own plan) while I was on vacation. I noticed that the package was going to arrive while I was on vacation so I called Verizon and spoke to a manger and made them change day so I’ll be there to SIGN FOR IT. They said OK.
Long story short they don’t change a thing and they try to drop it off three times while I’m not home. So now it gets sent to the factory. It was such a long time ago I can’t remember the exact reason why but when we went to pick it up I think they were either saying they didn’t have it anymore or something but I couldn’t get it there either.
So at this point I called Verizon and made them CANCEL everything my whole account and they did. I thought that was it. Months later i check my credit score and it says Verizon $66 even tho i closed my account and now it’s in collections. I’ve called Verizon multiple times it’s literally like I’m talking to a wall. I’ve even recorded this last call which for over 30+ mins and they said I should get something in the mail to prove it wasn’t my fault and for it to get removed….That was two weeks ago.
(Side note one out of the three credit reports company’s somehow misspelled my name so now I need to mail in copy of my id’s to get that fixed). So I don’t know what to do now. After allll of this I would love to open an account and get my first credit card but now my score is all messed up so what now?
