Thoughts on Adjacent Roles?
Been thinking about taking a second job to pay down CC after being unemployed for almost 9 months. Current job pays 70k and I moved back in with my folks to help rebuild savings and pay off debt faster.
However, I recently became friends with someone who works four jobs doing the same work which has opened up the Pandora’s box to work a second job.
The thing is that I work in IT, but would like to use this second job to not only pay off CC’s and building savings again, but I’d like to take on a venture that is adjacent like example I work Software analyst and I want to do Tech business analyst.
Does anyone have any anecdotal experience about doing adjacent role jobs and if it’s a good opportunity learn more to level up or just stick to what you know?
