Doorframe advice - how to make it prettier

I had a new doorframe installed. It was built in situ as the door is very narrow (Victorian), and is quite plain. I was wondering if a carpenter would be able to do something to make it look a bit more ornate that wouldn’t cost an absolute bomb or add bulk, e.g. this sort of style: https://www.diy.com/departments/flair-stairs-torus-bamboo-door-architrave-set-70mm-2x-2-1m-1x-1m-in-dark-bamboo/5061048115298_BQ.prd

I am buying a planter (wooden trough style) that is 133cm (height 38cm, depth 40cm). Would 3 or 4 dahlias fit? I have a patio garden so can’t plant in ground. struggling with how spacing works!

Also what support system works best? I found the obelisk supports didn’t work that well in pots last year for bigger varieties.
